SHOU
MASTERS was
founded by Mr. Lo Ch’ing in 1969, after moving from
San Francisco to Southern California. His philosophy concerning
the martial arts was that all styles contributed to the
art as a whole. Being a Master in Wing Chun Kung Fu, he
also embraced and became interested in Kenpo, Tang Soo
Do, Aikido, and Okinawa-te. After losing his daughter
to street violence, he taught that it was our responsibility
to watch out for and protect each other.
Mr. Danny Thomas, C.E.O. and
Head Instructor for Shou Masters Martial Arts,
began his training at the age of thirteen, under Mr.
Lo Ch’ing. After years of intense and personal
training, Mr. Thomas received his 1st Black belt in
Kung Fu. Mr. Lo Ch’ing decided to take his granddaughter
and move back to China. He charged his advanced students
with the responsibility of carrying on the concept of
Shou Masters, and expanding their knowledge of the Martial
Arts.
Mr. Thomas has spent almost 38 years dedicating his
time multiple styles of the Martial Arts. He received
4th degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do in 1986, and his
most recent Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do in 2002. He has
taught for the Oceanside Parks & Recreation Dept.,
coordinated self-protection seminars for various schools
and organizations including Girls Inc. of NH, and has
been a private instructor in NH since 1993.
Mr. Thomas wishes to thank all those who continue
the Shou Masters' concept of protecting each other,
and furthering the belief of uniting all Martial Arts
styles. MARTIAL ARTISTS:
