AWARDS & ACCOLADES...
At SHOU MASTERS MARTIAL ARTS
We are SO proud of our students... As they accomplish their individual goals in both promotions and tournament action, we want to let others know. Following are just a few of the most recent accomplishments of some of our fine students... more will follow, so check back often for updates!

On Saturday, March 31st, Shou Masters Martial Arts & Mr. G's Kickboxing participated in the 18th Annual Kick for Cancer in Gilmanton, NH. This is the local White Dragon/ White Tiger schools' tribute to their late Grandmaster, which benefits New Hampshire Hospice.

Thanks so much to all of the students, friends and family members who came out to support us... we had a great day!

WE LEARNED that your belt color may not determine your talent...
that the judges may ask you to perform TWICE if there is a tie...
and that focus, spirit, and presentation are a students best assets...

EVERY ONE of our participating students placed (FIRST, SECOND, OR THIRD) in their division, as follows:

Kylee French
, FIRST in Jr. belt's Kata (Forms) performing Kee Cho Hyung Il Bu (7 yrs. old, first tournament)
Tiarnan McConnel-Hopkins, SECOND in Jr. belt Kumite (weapons), performing his Bo Staff form (9 yrs. old, first tournament, Instructor: Mr. G)
Bridgette Thomas, THIRD in 16 & Under Black Belt Kata, performing Pinan Sa Dan, (and breaking a tie using her personal form, "Spiral Dance")

Placing FIRST in their divisions for SPARRING are as follows:
Bridgette Thomas, 16 & Under Black Belt (against three guys, including one who was 6'6")
Jeremiah Thomas, Adult colored belts 25 & up (first tournament)
James Seager, 14-16 colored belts (first tournament, Instructor: Mr. G)
Placing SECOND in their divisions for SPARRING are as follows:
Justin Thomas, Adult colored belts 25 & up (first tournament)
Lisa Cushing, Women's 17-24 colored belts (first tournament)
Norbert Dudek, Men's 17- 24 colored belts (first tournament)
Chris Stanton, 14-16 colored belts (first tournament, instructor Mr. G)
Placing THIRD in their divisions for SPARRING are as follows:
Ross Robertson, 17 yrs., in the Adult Black Belt division
Kyle Middleton, 14-16 colored belts, (first tournament, Instructor, Mr. G)

Every one of these students put in extra training time and effort, perfecting technique and presentation, to achieve these goals... and they succeeded! We received many compliments on our students' technique, energy and control, and want to pass them on...

Any photographs or video footage of these events or awards is welcome... we were filming four events at one time! Please help us add to our Awards & Accomplishments page.

MANY, MANY THANKS to:
